Player of the Week
Nick Lazorko - Castleton State College
Sophomore, Forward - Rockwall, Texas/Winkler (MJHL)
Scoring five goals and two assists in two games, Lazorko helped the Spartans to their second 2-0 start in school history. In a 10-3 win over the University of New England he scored two goals and two assists. He recorded his first career hattrick in a 5-1 victory over Southern Maine. He is third in the nation with 3.50 points per game.
Goaltender of the Week
Zeke Testa - Babson College
Junior, Goaltender - Wellesley, Mass./Berkshire
Testa made 38 saves to help Babson to a 6-4 win over Saint Anselm. In the second period he stopped 18 shots to keep the game close until the Beavers pulled away, 4-1.
Rookie of the Week
Kevin Vanous - Saint Anselm College
Sophomore, Forward - Virginia Beach, Va./Northern Cyclones
Vanous scored two goals in a 2-1 win over UMass Boston in the season-opening game for the Hawks. These goals were the first of his collegiate career.
