Buffalo State Set to 'Pink the Rink' for Breast Cancer Awareness

BUFFALO - Buffalo State’s women’s
hockey team will “Pink the Rink” to raise money and
awareness for breast cancer research this Friday and Saturday when
the team hosts Oswego in a pair of critical Eastern College
Athletic Conference Women's West contests. The puck will drop
at 7 p.m. on Friday and at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Buffalo State will wear pink uniforms to raise awareness for breast
cancer research and fans will be able to purchase pink T-shirts and
baked goods with all proceeds being donated to support research at
the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Tickets will be sold at the Ice Arena entrance for $5.
Students with valid Buffalo State ID are free.
The Bengals will also host “Maddy’s Game”, the
annual alumni game on Saturday at 10 a.m. The game was named
for former player Maddy Loftus, who lost her life in the crash of
Continental Flight 3407. She was returning to Buffalo to play
in the alumni game.
